For food and beverage plants that run an anaerobic digester, ZwitterCo Superfiltration (SF) and RO systems recover digester effluent as reuse water for cooling, boilers, and CIP, and return the solids to the digester. Because the membranes resist the organic fouling that limits conventional membranes as feed quality changes, the system maintains its designed output with less cleaning, maintenance, and membrane replacement.
