Condensate Polishing After Evaporation of Digestate
Thermal evaporation of liquid digestate carries volatile components – ammonia, VFAs and other volatile organics, and traces of oil – into the vapor and, after condensation, into the distillate. Conventional RO membranes polishing that condensate struggle with organic fouling. When the RO falls behind, the whole plant feels it: condensate keeps arriving, there is nowhere to put it, and throughput has to come down.
